COURSE OVERVIEW
This qualification has been developed give students the practical hands on skills to be able to have a pathway into a career in the hospitality industry.
Students will learn point of sales operations, espresso coffee high level customer service as well as a range of hospitality cooking and operations skills and experience in an operational commercial grade kitchen servicing the residents of the Watermark Retirement Village and students and staff from Riverina Community College.
Throughout these service period’s students will be applying hours to their hospitality logbook for work experience hours where they can gain their qualifications in a friendly and familiar environment with a trainer supervising and supporting the students.
PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY NETWORKING
Delivered in a functioning kitchen. This training involves both theory and practical components and is flexibly delivered.
This course allows the learner the opportunity to network with other trainees and industry throughout the learning experience, whilst gaining valuable practical skills which they can take into the workplace.
COURSE DELIVERY
This course is generally delivered over 50 sessions for 25 weeks. This training requires at least 15 hours in total face to face each week, 158 hours of self-directed at home study and mandatory 150 hours of work placement.

This course is subsidised by the NSW Government for eligible students.

- Concession contribution to eligble students $240
