COURSE OVERVIEW
In this training, you will learn the skills and knowledge to provide a first aid response in a range of situations. This qualification is valid for three years. The training consists of a one day face to face theory session and a one day practical assessment.
Prior to attending your theory session, you will be provided with a Learner Guide and a Knowledge Assessment Workbook. You will need to read your Learner Guide and commence
work on your Knowledge Assessment in preparation for your theory session in which you will complete your workbook with the support of the trainer. You will be required to demonstrate your knowledge during the practical assessment.
To successfully complete the practical assessment you must be capable of demonstrating your first aid skills in several scenarios including performing at least 2 minutes (5 cycles) of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on an adult resuscitation mannequin placed on the floor.

This course is delivered over 1 session.

This course is subsidised by the NSW Government for eligible students. Concessions and eligibility criteria applies.
UNITS OF COMPETENCY
On successful completion of this course, a Statement of Attainment for the following units will be issued:

CREDIT TRANSFER OR RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
If you believe you have already undertaken any of this training, or have the current skills, please talk to your Trainer or Training Coordinator prior to course commencement. Credit transfer can only be applied by sighting organismal transcript of studies.
