Art Classes with Jennifer Ashby


Multi-disciplinary artist Jenny Ashby has just returned back to Wagga after spending the last few months in Darwin where she had a solo exhibition and ran workshops at the Northern Centre for Contemporary Art. Previous to her time in Darwin Jenny spent the previous 6 and a half years living and working as an artist in Indonesia. While in Indonesia Jenny created works in her studio in Ubud Bali as well as participated in many group exhibitions across Indonesia as well as holding her own solo exhibition at SIKA Contemporary Art Gallery in Ubud. Jenny also ran workshops at Bentara Budaya Arts Centre and Museum as well as private drawing and printmaking classes to beginners and advanced students.

Jenny works across many mediums including drawing, printmaking, painting, ceramics, site installation and mixed media. Now home to Wagga Jenny is excited to be holding art workshops and classes through the Riverina Community College to share her skills, knowledge and passion for teaching to the people of Wagga and the surrounding towns. Jenny will start off her program focusing on drawing offering classes for beginners with no experience to those who have experience yet would like to explore drawing and mixed media further with her help and support. Jenny is also available to provide support for HSC students across the Riverina, teacher development workshops, private tuition and community and school workshops.
