CHC33015 - Certificate III Individual Support (Disability)
COURSE OVERVIEW
The CHC33015 Certificate III Individual Support (Disability) is targeted to individuals wanting to provide support work to people living with a disability in group homes and in their own homes. This can be either existing workers without current qualifications or people new
to the industry wanting to become involved in this type of role.
PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY NETWORKING
Simulated clinical skills training will be conducted and student attendance is compulsory. Local health industry employers will also be utilised to provide students with a minimum of 3 weeks of workplace learning and assessment. Clinical placement is mandatory and
students will be required to present endorsed timesheets with a minimum of 120 clinical contact hours.
COURSE DELIVERY
This course is generally delivered over 56 sessions for 28 weeks. Mixed mode deliverywhich includes classroom and self-paced learning.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You must be 16 years of age or above. Students are required to undertake a language, literacy and numeracy assessment and face to face interview prior to enrolment. A current Police Check and Working with Children Check is required prior to commencement.
