Cafe' Skill Set

COURSE OVERVIEW

This Cafe' Skill Set is designed to provide participants with base knowledge and skills to assist them to commence work in the vibrant cafe' and hospitality industry.

On completion of this Skill Set, participants can follow a vocational pathway to further studies or gain employment in numerous roles which may include food and beverage attendant, kitchen hand or food handler.

PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY NETWORKING

This training is delivered at the Riverina Community College in our functioning kitchen. This training involves both theory and practical components and is flexibly delivered.

This course allows the learner the opportunity to network with other trainees and industry throughout the learning experience, whilst gaining valuable practical skills which they can take into the workplace.

COURSE DELIVERY

This course is delivered over 8 sessions. Mixed mode delivery which can includes practical and theory.'

110109S – Basic coffee tecnhiques

STUDENT FEE

This course is subsidised by the NSW Government for eligible students. Concessions & eligibility criteria applies. Limited places are available.

Assessments are made against units of competency.
  • Use hygienic practices for food safety (SITXFSA001)
  • Interact effectively with others at work (FSKOCM07)
  • Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages (SITHFAB004)
