COURSE OVERVIEW

The SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services reflects the role of individuals employed as beauticians to provide a range of beauty services including nail, waxing, lash and brow, and basic make-up services.

These individuals possess a range of well-developed technical and customer service skills where discretion and judgement is required and are responsible for their own outputs. This includes client consultation on beauty products and services.

DURATION

This course is delivered over 78 sessions with 13 hours per week face to face training.

This course is fast paced and you are required to dedicate more time to self-paced learning at home. We recommend 10-15 hours per week. You will also be required to complete 130 hours of industry work experience in a salon simulated environment.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

All students undertake a Language Literacy and Numeracy evaluation prior to enrolling with our LLN Robot assessment tool.

STUDENT FEE

This course is subsidised by the NSW Government for eligible students

  • Student contributions are applicable and range from $2,130 to $2,550
  • Concession contribution to eligible students $240
  • Exemptions apply

Full course cost: $6,470

Additional payment requirement: Students will be required to purchase a uniform - $50 and textbook learning resources - $300, which is compulsory to attend class. Payment plans can be arranged for this at Reception. These costs will provide you with additional resources to support learning.

PATHWAYS

On completing SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services individuals may undertake:

  • SHB40115 – Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy
  • SHB50115 – Diploma of Beauty Therapy

CREDIT TRANSFER OR RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

If you believe you have already undertaken any of this training, or have the current skills, please talk to your Trainer or Training Coordinator prior to course commencement. Credit transfer can only be applied by sighting organismal transcript of studies.
