Community Services Skill Set

COURSE OVERVIEW

One of the fastest-growing industry sectors in NSW, is aged-care and disability, which is tipped to grow yet further with the NDIS and other sector reforms underway at present.

Our program is specifically designed to help prepare for employment whether in a care-related role or in any of the many other opportunities (such as administration, grounds-work, hospitality or security). Topics covered include:
• Acting as a first point of contact
• Learning how to communicate and work in the health or community services
• Work with diverse people, including people with disabilities
• Participating in workplace health and safety
• Organise and completing daily work activities

STUDENT FEE

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government. Concessions and eligibility criteria applies.

Assessments are made against units of competency.
  • Read and respond to basic workplace information (FSKRDG04)
  • Participate in workplace health and safety (HLTWHS001)
  • Use digital technology for routine workplace tasks (FSKDIG03)
  • Provide first aid (HLTAID003)
