COURSE OVERVIEW

Are you having trouble writing cover letters and resumes? Entering the work force for the first time or heading back to work after an extended break?

Unsure of where to start or what you need to succeed?

This short course will provide the foundations to start you on your career path and make the transition into employment.

Delivered in a supported learning environment, this course covers areas such as resume writing, interview skills and personal presentation. Let us help you remove the mystery of work related documents, gain communication skills and so much more!

PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE AND INDUSTRY NETWORKING

This training is delivered by an experienced industry expert in a supported and friendly class.

COURSE DELIVERY

This course is delivered over 18 sessions for 9 weeks. Mixed mode delivery which includes, classroom and self-paced learning.

UNITS OF COMPETENCY

On completion of this short course, a Statement of Attainment for the following units will be issued:

ACCREDITED UNITS

  • HLTAID003 – Provide first aid
  • FSKRDG04 – Read and respond to basic workplace information
  • FSKDIG03 – Use digital technology for routine workplace tasks
  • HLTWHS001 – Participate in workplace heath and safety
  • FSKOCM02 – Engage in basic spoken exchanges at work
  • CHCDIV001 – Work with diverse peeople
  • FSKWTG03 – Write basic workplace information

Units from CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services
These accredited units are Nationally Recognised.

NON-ACCREDITED UNITS

  • 120503 – Personal presentation
  • 120503M – Resume writing & interview skills
  • 120503N – Employment knowledge – workplace documents
