COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is designed to give the students the skills and knowledge of music production using audio technology. Whether you are just starting out or want to gain accredited skills in music production this course will give you comprehensive practical skills and knowledge to make a career in the music production industry.

You will be trained in an operation sound recording studio at the Riverina Community College with new industry technologies.

Students will learn software including garage band and Logic for beginners.

Students will be required to have knowledge of how to operate a computer to enter this course.

DURATION

This course is delivered over 30 sessions for 15 weeks.

Mixed mode delivery which includes classroom and self-paced learning.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

All students undertake a Language Literacy and Numeracy evaluation prior to enrolling with our LLN Robot assessment tool.

UNITS OF COMPETENCY

On completion of this short course, a Statement of Attainment for the following units will be issued:

ACCREDITED UNITS

  • CUAMPF202 Incorporate music technology into performance
  • CUASOU201 Develop basic audio skills and knowledge
  • CUASOU202 Perform basic sound editing
  • CUASOU203 Assist with sound recordings

Units from CUA20615 Certificate II in Music Industry
These accredited units are Nationally Recognised.

NON-ACCREDITED UNITS

  • Live music production
  • Logic for beginners
  • Garage band use

If you believe you have already undertaken any of this training, or have the current skills, please talk to your Trainer or Training Coordinator prior to course commencement. Credit transfer can only be applied by sighting organismal transcript of studies.
