Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will have primary responsibility for contractual requirements, day-to-day operations and client servicing needs.

Riverina Community College is seeking to employ a full time highly experienced leader from within the vocational education and community sector to drive organizational growth and outcomes.
The Operations Manager will have primary responsibility for contractual requirements, day-to-day operations and client servicing needs, including a requirement to ensure effective people, profit, performance and quality management, which meet contractual and organisational expectations.

Duties:
• Contribute to organizational and operational planning processes
• Provide concise, accurate and timely advice to the CEO on service or contract issues, relevant external trends and environmental factors likely to affect contract performance and/or service delivery
• Assist and contribute to the coordination & execution of all external audits as needed
• Manage staff and coordination of workloads, including leadership, participation in recruitment and induction processes and staff training and professional development
• Promote a culture of open honest and respectful communication between team members and stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Promote and monitor compliance to organisational standards, organisational policies and procedures and contractual requirements.
• Effectively manage reporting and financial acquittal requirements for all company contracts and agreements
• Examine and provide advice on conditions of funding agreements
• Assist in the development and achievement of operational budget based on realistic projections of revenue and expenditure
• Monitor and report monthly on the compliance & financial performance

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Experience in developing and leading high performance teams
• Demonstrated success in contract management and implementation
• Relevant qualification – Certificate IV TAE
• Extensive understanding of VET and/or adult education
• Current knowledge of Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA)
• Current knowledge of Training Services NSW Funding Contracts
• Understanding of risk and quality management
• Demonstrated planning and organisational skills
• Experience in contributing too and managing budgets and business plans
• Active and enthusiastic team player
• Ability to use data and information to assist in decision making
• Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective computer skills
• Strong leadership approach to supporting staff development

Trainers and Assessors

Riverina Community College is a Wagga based community organization working within the NSW community colleges framework, supported and partially funded by the Adult Community Education (ACE) unit of Training NSW. The College provides a wide range of community and education programs in consultation with individuals, government, business and community.
Due to an increased demand in many of our training programs, we are looking for passionate and dedicated trainers with flexibility to join our enthusiastic team across the Riverina. Our college is known for its high level of education, modern facilities and small class sizes, and we are now seeking industry professionals to join our progressive education team.

Trainers and Assessors are required for the following:
• Provide First Aid
• RSA / RCG
• Hospitality
• Business and technology
• Individual Support – Ageing and Disability
• White Card
• Construction Pathways
• Hairdressing and Beauty

Duties:
• Contribute industry knowledge to the design of training and assessment
• Prepare and deliver training and assess students
• Monitor student attendance and progress
• Maintain student assessment files
• Conduct knowledge and skills assessments within the classroom and workplace

Essential Criteria:
AE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent
• A relevant vocational qualification in the industry in which you will provide training.
• The qualification must be at least the level of competency being delivered
• A minimum of 3-5 years' work experience in the relevant industry
• Demonstrated experience with adult learners
• Demonstrated understanding of the AQF and Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015
• A current Working with Children Check (or prepared to obtain)
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to contribute to a team environment
• A high level of written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to liaise effectively in educational settings as well as industry and community settings
• Exceptional organisational skills with a highly professional and flexible approach to learning
• Strong interpersonal skills, show social and cultural sensitivity, and flexibility to accommodate the needs of our client base

The above selection criteria will be considered during a pre-employment interview with targeted questions.


A current driver’s licence will be necessary as you may be required to travel to remote areas within the Riverina as predetermined.
