Trainers and Assessors

Riverina Community College is a leading RTO based in Wagga Wagga delivering accredited courses.

Due to an expansion, we are looking for passionate and dedicated casual trainers based in the Wagga Wagga, Griffith and Tumut area with flexibility to join our enthusiastic team. Our college is known for its high level of education, modern facilities and small class sizes, and we are now seeking industry professionals to join our progressive education team.

Trainers and Assessors are required for the following:

  • Foundation Skills
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability)
  • Certificate III in Hospitality

Duties:

  • Prepare and deliver training and assess students
  • Monitor student attendance and progress
  • Conduct peer observations, to establish a sense of others teaching styles
  • Maintain student assessment files
  • Mark theoretical assessments
  • Assess students practically

To apply for this position you must have:

  • A relevant degree, diploma or other vocational qualification.The qualification must be at least the level of competency being delivered
  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and working towards TAE40116
  • A current Working with Children Check (or prepared to obtain)
  • A minimum of 3 years' work experience in the relevant industry
  • Demonstrated experience with adult learners
  • Demonstrated understanding of the AQF and Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015
  • A high level of written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to liaise effectively in educational settings as well as industry and community settings
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a highly professional and flexible approach to learning
  • Strong interpersonal skills, show social and cultural sensitivity, and flexibility to accommodate the needs of our client base

The above selection criteria will be considered during a pre-employment interview with targeted questions.

You will need a current driver’s licence as you may be required to travel to other areas within the Riverina as predetermined.
