COURSE OVERVIEW

SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality offers students a range of skills within hospitality service, sales, or operational skills and a knowledge of industry operations. Using discretion and judgement, students will develop skills to work with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies, and procedures to guide work activities.
SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality has 15 units of competency, with 6 core units and 9 elective units. The elective units have been selected in consultation with local businesses while meeting the requirements to complete successfully.
DURATION
This course is held 3 days (Mon, Tues & Wed) a week for 64 sessions.
Time: 9:00am to 3:30pm
This training requires at least 14 hours in total face to face each week, self-directed learning across the whole course is required as per the student guide.
Additional mandatory 150 hours of work placement is required (sourced by student).
This course allows the learner the opportunity to network with other trainees and industry throughout the learning experience, whilst gaining valuable practical skills which they can take into the workplace.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All students must complete a language literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment in this course.
There are prerequisites.
SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety is a pre-requisite unit.
SITHGAM022 Provide responsible gambling services is a pre-requisite unit.
STUDENT FEE
This course is subsidised by the NSW Government for eligible students.
- Student contributions are applicable and range from $1,450 to $1,750 – payment plans available.
- Concession contribution to eligible students $240
- Exemptions apply
Full course cost: $6,250.
