Gain the skills to join this ever growing industry by enrolling in Certificate III in Hospitality today. Hospitality is one of the leading and ever evolving industries, and so we adapt our training to suit industry trends and we lead with industry skilled professional trainers.

Certificate III in Hospitality is based around providing food and beverage services to the general public and will be conducted in a direct hospitality environment. As a student in this course you will be working delivering a service to the general public which includes preparing and servicing basic meals, espresso coffees, appetisers and salads, nonalcoholic beverages as well as gaining the essential hygiene and food handling skills.

DURATION

This course is held 2 days a week for 25 weeks.

Time: 9:00am to 4:30pm

This training requires at least 14 hours in total face to face each week, self-directed learning across the whole course is required as per the student guide.
Additional mandatory 150 hours of work placement is required (sourced by student).
This course allows the learner the opportunity to network with other trainees and industry throughout the learning experience, whilst gaining valuable practical skills which they can take into the workplace.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

All students must complete a language literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment in this course.

Participants undertaking the Certificate III Hospitality must complete the unit SITXFSA001 – Use hygienic practices for food safety as a pre-requisite to the following units:

SITHCCC002 Prepare and present simple dishes
SITHFAB004 Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages
SITHFAB005 Prepare and serve espresso coffee
SITHCCC006 Prepare appetisers and salads

This is reflected in the schedule of delivery. If you do not complete and gain a satisfactory mark in SITXFSA001 – Use hygienic practices for food safety, you will not be able to complete the above units.

STUDENT FEE

This course is subsidised by the NSW Government for eligible students.

  • Student contributions are applicable and range from $1,450 to $1,750 – payment plans available.
  • Concession contribution to eligible students $240
  • Exemptions apply

Full course cost: $6,250.

If you believe you have already undertaken any of this training, or have the current skills, please talk to your Trainer or Training Coordinator prior to course commencement. Credit transfer can only be applied by sighting original transcript of studies.
