The Art Factory to host Tanya’s debut solo exhibition

The Art Factory Supported Studio will host the opening of artist Tanya Crawshaw’s debut solo exhibition,Chicken Dancing on a Trampoline, on Thursday, 11 May.

Chicken Dancing on a Trampoline features a range of works displaying her bold linear style. Maps and bridges are reoccurring motifs and often surprising titles give an insight into Tanya’s dry humour.

Tanya is an artist based in rural Ganmain. Her practice is influenced by lived experience and the transformation of that encounter into modern abstract works. Tanya has previously exhibited at the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery and the Anne Harding Conference Centre in Canberra.

The Art Factory in Wagga Wagga is part of the national Supported Studio Network that provides a framework for visual arts studios that support the professional development of artists with disability.

Chicken Dancing on a Trampoline officially opens next Thursday, 11 May at 11am at Riverina Community College Gallery.

Official opening: Thursday 12 May | 11am

Exhibition open: Tuesday 10 May-Friday 20 May | 10am-2pm

Riverina Community College Gallery, 96 Murray Street Wagga Wagga.
