The Art Factory Year in Review
The Art Factory is officially over for 2017. What a year it has been! In case you missed anything, here’s what we got up to:
• 40 studio days
• 2 solo exhibitions in the RCC Gallery
• 1 group exhibition in the RCC Gallery
• 1 exhibition at Turbo Gallery, Victoria
• 36 artworks sold, including drawings, paintings and zines
• 195 audience attending the four exhibitions
• 4 exhibition and performances attended at Wagga Wagga Art Gallery and HR Gallop Gallery
• 1 short documentary on iView
• 2 news stories on Riverina TV
Bringing Friends Together, Jacko Meyers
In September, Jacko Meyers had her first solo exhibition in the RCC Gallery. At the opening she performed an original piece, Nothing Compares To You. The Mayor of Wagga Wagga, Greg Conkey and Eastern Riverina Arts EO, Scott Howie opened the exhibition.
The Fast Car Girl, Layla Bacayo
In October, Layla Bacayo had her first solo exhibition in the RCC Gallery. The exhibition featured drawings, zines and the latest episode from her You Tube channel
Wayne at the Factory
Wayne Emerson was featured in Wayne at the Factory, created by Next In Line Films. The short documentary was part of an initiative developed by ABC and Create NSW called Createability that profiles regional artists with disability launched on 27 November 2017.

Bush Country, Scott Lea and Steven O’Hara
- There's no image with the name: A guy in the bush
After seeing the Inspire exhibition at ARTLANDS Dubbo, Turbo Gallery in Rainbow, Victoria invited Scott Lea and Steven O’Hara to have an exhibition in their gallery in November 2017.
The Art Factory End of Year Exhibition
The Art Factory had an end of year exhibition that featured work made in the studio this year by each artist.
