COURSE OVERVIEW

The SHB30121 Certificate III in Beauty Services reflects the role of individuals employed as beauticians to provide a range of beauty services including nail, waxing, lash and brow, and basic make-up services.

These individuals possess a range of well-developed technical and customer service skills where discretion and judgement is required and are responsible for their own outputs. This includes client consultation on beauty products and services.

DURATION

This course is delivered over 82 sessions with 9 hours per week face to face training.

Students will also be expected to spend approximately 124 Hours outside the classroom on a range of self-directed learning activities.

Towards the end of your studies, you will be required to complete a minimum of 38 hours practical experience. This is conducted here at the College over 6 sessions.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

All students undertake a Language Literacy and Numeracy evaluation prior to enrolling with our LLN Robot assessment tool.

This course is subsidised by the NSW Government for eligible students

  • Student contributions are applicable and range from $2,310 to $2,550
  • Concession contribution to eligible students $240
  • Exemptions apply

If you believe you have already undertaken any of this training, or have the current skills, please talk to your Trainer or Training Coordinator prior to course commencement. Credit transfer can only be applied by sighting organismal transcript of studies.

  • Design and apply make-up for photography (SHBBMUP010)
  • Comply with organisational requirements within a personal services environment (SHBXIND003)
  • Apply safe hygiene, health and work practices (SHBXWHS003)
  • Advise on beauty products and services (SHBBCCS005)
  • Research and apply beauty industry information (SHBBRES003)
  • Provide manicure and pedicare services (SHBBNLS007)
