Care Industry Pathways Program

COURSE OVERVIEW

This training will provide insights, skills and pathways into care industries, providing participants with first aid, working with diversity as well as human body knowledge and skills, significantly boosting participant employment opportunities. Participants will also be provided insights from employers as well as participate in industry tours.

To successfully complete the practical assessment you must be capable of demonstrating your first aid skills in several scenarios including performing at least 2 minutes (5 cycles) of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on an adult resuscitation mannequin placed on the floor.

DURATION

This course is delivered over 3 weeks on Thursdays and Fridays from 9am to 3:30pm.

COURSE FEE

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government. Eligibility criteria applies.

UNITS OF COMPETENCY

On successful completion of this course, a Statement of Attainment for the following units will be issued:

CHCCCS041 Recognise healthy body systems
CHCDIV001 Work with diverse people
HLTAID011 Provide first aid

CREDIT TRANSFER OR RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

If you believe you have already undertaken any of this training, or have the current skills, please talk to your Trainer or Training Coordinator prior to course commencement. Credit transfer can only be applied by sighting organismal transcript of studies.
