HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid

COURSE OVERVIEW

In this training, you will learn the skills and knowledge to provide a first aid response in a range of situations. This qualification is valid for three years. The training consists of an online theory assessment and a one day face to face practical assessment.

Prior to attending the practical session, students will be provided with access to our online system to complete the theory assessment. This involves 112 multiple choice questions. Students MUST receive a satisfactory outcome prior to scheduled practical session. 3 attempts for the theory assessment will be given to all students. Students will be required to demonstrate your knowledge during the practical assessment.

To successfully complete the practical assessment you must be capable of demonstrating your first aid skills in several scenarios including performing at least 2 minutes (5 cycles) of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on an adult resuscitation mannequin placed on the floor.

If you believe you have already undertaken any of this training, or have the current skills, please talk to your Trainer or Training Coordinator prior to course commencement. Credit transfer can only be applied by sighting organismal transcript of studies.
